What's New: LAPAC Celebrates 25th Anniversary with COMMENDATION from Santa Monica Mayor

About Us

Los Angeles Performing Arts Conservatory (LAPAC) provides training in acting, screenwriting, and filmmaking for beginners, advanced artists, as well as those that are transitioning into English-speaking markets.

Our school is approved by the California Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education as a degree granting institution and we offer an Associate of Occupational Science – Acting, an Associate of Occupational Science – Screenwriting, and a series of non-degree certificate programs. Approval to operate means the institution is compliant with the minimum standards contained in the California Private Postsecondary Education Act of 2009 (as amended) and Division 7.5 of Title 5 of the California Code of Regulations.

The Faculty

The faculty of LAPAC is comprised of working professionals and professional creative educators with a mission to help students succeed as actors, filmmakers, and writers.

Our Training Philosophy

LAPAC educates students using a variety of acting philosophies, offering courses in Meisner, Adler, Strasberg, and Checkhov.   We also teach The Actor’s Keys, a method developed by LAPAC founder and director Natalia Lazarus.

For details about techniques taught in our classes, visit our Training Philosophy section.

Our International Student Body

Our student body is composed of a combination of students from the U.S. and international students from Europe, Asia, and Latin America.  As a school with an accredited degree program, LAPAC can assist international students with obtaining an F-1 federal visa, which allows students to not only attend school in the U.S. but acquire work permits as well.

Find more information about international student admissions at our International Students section.
